The First Secretary and President of Cuba highly appreciated Vietnam's achievements under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam in building and developing the country, considering it a shining example for the international revolutionary and communist movement.
At the same time, he expressed his appreciation for Vietnam's solidarity and sincere support for Cuba over the years.
General Secretary To Lam reaffirmed Vietnam's stance in support of the United Nations General Assembly resolutions calling for an end to the embargo against Cuba.
Leaders of the two Parties and two countries shared about the situation of each Party and each country; reaffirmed the importance of the special friendship between Vietnam and Cuba, considering it a priceless asset that both sides need to strive to strengthen and develop.
The two sides agreed to promote the implementation of many cooperation activities to enhance political trust; effectively implement high-level agreements reached during the historic visit of General Secretary and President To Lam to Cuba in September 2024; and actively organize solemn commemorative activities and people-to-people exchanges during the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Year 2025.
General Secretary To Lam reiterated the invitation and welcomed First Secretary and President of Cuba Miguel Diaz-Canel to soon visit Vietnam again in 2025; and sent his warm regards to General Raul Castro Ruz.
