50 thousand people received humanitarian aid

- On the morning of June 26, at the Royal Plaza Center, Tuyen Quang, the Provincial Red Cross Society (RCS) held a conference to review the work of the Association and the Red Cross movement in the first 6 months of the year, key tasks for the last 6 months of the year; and summarize the Humanitarian Month.

In the first 6 months of 2025, the Provincial Red Cross Association has done a good job in social security, humanitarian work, providing practical assistance to many people in difficult circumstances, vulnerable groups, disaster prevention and response, humanitarian relief in the province, reaching 26.8 billion VND, assisting over 50,000 people. In particular, the "Humanitarian Tet" movement organized and presented 29,084 gifts to poor households, victims of Agent Orange, policy families, meritorious people and other subjects, with over 40,000 beneficiaries, reaching 162% of the campaign value, the whole province reached 16,218 billion VND; reaching over 200% of the number of beneficiaries according to the plan; coordinated with Thien Tam Fund - Vingroup to sponsor 6,900 Tet gifts, each worth 600,000 VND, total value of 4,140 billion VND...

The Provincial Red Cross Society determined that in the last 6 months of the year, it would coordinate with relevant agencies and units to well organize the activities of the "Red Journey" Program with the message "Connecting Vietnamese Blood" taking place in the province in 2025; organize a conference to commend and honor sponsors on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Red Cross Society (November 23, 1946 - November 23, 2025); mobilize sponsors, organizations and individuals to support resources for humanitarian activities through the Society at all levels.

The conference also held a summary of the Humanitarian Month in 2025. The total value of the implementation of the "Humanitarian Month" in 2025 in the whole province reached over 4.8 billion VND, reaching 283%; the number of beneficiaries was over 3,000 people, reaching 150%; the number of blood units received reached over 400% compared to the plan.
