Regarding the case of Ms. PNPT (born in 1969; residing in Cai Lay town, Tien Giang province) reporting that she was scammed out of more than 434 billion VND, Tien Giang Provincial Police are still clarifying the case.

According to the complaint sent to the police, Ms. T. said that in early May 2025, a Facebook account named "Nguyen Van Dieu" sent a message to her Facebook to get to know her. The subject used Zalo "Binh Yen" (unknown registered phone number) to add Ms. T. as a friend on Zalo and gave her the phone number 0983…..572 to contact.

When contacted, the subject introduced himself to Ms. T. as being in charge of the securities division at a bank with a branch in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.

Next, the subject asked Ms. T. to log in to the HTX securities app to create an order through the link http://www.huobiee77.com/.

On May 17, the subject created the account "thao1969@gmail.com" to link to a bank account and asked Ms. T. to place a securities purchase order on the link provided by the subject for an amount of 5 million VND. By noon of the same day, Ms. T. received 5.3 million VND from bank account number 000…...415.838 - TRAN THANH AN (VietBank).

During the period from May 17 to May 31, following the subject's instructions, Ms. T. performed 1,126 transactions as above and transferred money to many different accounts provided by the subject, with a total amount of more than 434 billion VND.

When Ms. T. tried to withdraw money but was unsuccessful, the subject asked her to continue to deposit more money into her account on the cooperative exchange with many different reasons. At this time, Ms. T. knew she was scammed, so she filed a complaint with the Tien Giang Provincial Police.

According to the rice business community in Tien Giang, Ms. T. is a super-rich business owner. Many businesses said that Ms. T. is considered a "bank" because when businesses need capital of 100-200 billion VND, they come to "ask" Ms. T. for help.

Currently, Ms. T. has many rice warehouses in Tien Giang province.
