Welcoming the Ho Chi Minh City delegation were Ms. Nesryn Bouziane, Director of International Services; Mr. Mark Maley, Director of Editorial Policy, News; Mr. Reed Robinson, Head of News of the ABC Broadcasting Corporation.
Informing the leaders of ABC Radio and Television Corporation, Mr. Phan Nguyen Nhu Khue said that Ho Chi Minh City currently has 19 press agencies and more than 160 representative offices of central newspapers and radio stations located in the city.
The city's press agencies all focus on digital transformation, promoting the use of social networks such as Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok to reach more and faster to the public. At the same time, Ho Chi Minh City press agencies also increase the exploitation of multimedia communication applications on their websites to maximize the effectiveness of information.

According to Ms. Nesryn Bouziane, Director of International Services, ABC Broadcasting Corporation is a multi-channel broadcasting corporation, which has signed cooperation agreements to cover many countries, in compliance with the laws and regulations of the host country. ABC produces programs aimed at the suitability of each region or country, targeting each audience.

ABC aims to prioritize the development of digital television programs, in addition to traditional multimedia platforms, also producing programs broadcast on social networking sites, suitable for the trends and needs of readers. Each product or program has its own subtitles to increase traffic. The Group's Facebook account alone currently has over 5 million followers. Not stopping at what has been achieved, especially covering radio and television throughout the Asia- Pacific region, ABC is still continuing to seek foreign markets for further development in the future.
The ABC is Australia's National Public Broadcasting Corporation, established in July 1932 and now nearly a century old, operating on a budget approved by Parliament .

Mr. Mark Maley, Director of Editorial Policy, News, said that the ABC has built the ABC Editorial Code, a policy of freedom of information, respect for privacy, protection of children, and accountability to the public. Programs and news products must always ensure compliance with regulations on accurate, objective, fair and balanced information. The ABC has a Board of Directors responsible for the activities of the Group, in which a maximum of 7 members are appointed on the recommendation of the Government. The CEO of the ABC is appointed by the Board of Directors.
According to Mr Reed Robinson, Head of News, in his role he manages a team of over 80 journalists in the news department’s content production. Mr Reed provided an overview of the ABC’s operations and discussed the digital transformation of journalism – and how the ABC is integrating new technology into its newsroom.
With a focus on research on digital transformation of journalism and content strategies, platforms, and digital journalism business, the Ho Chi Minh City delegation had the opportunity to learn about the digital strategy that has made ABC a leading multi-platform media group ahead of its competitors in Australia.
Leaders of Ho Chi Minh City press agencies had the opportunity to learn about ABC's digital transformation process; restructuring of the operating model; human resource training; content development strategy and especially the Multimedia Communications Group model; experience in program copyright, intellectual property issues as well as cooperation with media partners.
The delegation from Ho Chi Minh City also informed about the current situation of information competition between the press in general and social networks, requiring a strong shift in the way of working on content and exploiting advertising. This is a major issue that requires in-depth research on the model in Australia.
