“Nha Trang fever” will bring 10 million Chinese tourists to the coastal city

On December 11, in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee coordinated with the Chinese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City to organize the Khanh Hoa - China Business Connection Conference 2024.

Mr. Le Huu Hoang, Permanent Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, said that China is Khanh Hoa's second largest international market, after South Korea. In the first 10 months of 2024, there were nearly 500 flights from China to Cam Ranh airport. It is expected that in 2024, Khanh Hoa will welcome 750,000 Chinese visitors.

The year 2025 is the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China. Mr. Wei Huaxiang, Consul General of China in Ho Chi Minh City, said that since 2019, Khanh Hoa province has welcomed 2.5 million Chinese tourists, accounting for 75% of international tourists to the province.

According to Mr. Wei Huaxiang, many businesses shared with him that in the near future, the number of Chinese tourists coming to Vietnam is expected to soon reach an average of 10 million arrivals/year. “Khanh Hoa fever” and “Nha Trang fever” are once again strongly covering the Chinese international tourism market.

After the opening session, more than 200 businesses from Khanh Hoa province and China entered the business connection session for businesses to meet and discuss directly.

The working session was divided into 3 main areas: tourism, agriculture, aquaculture; trade - import and export and other fields. This activity helps businesses better understand the potential and strengths, the need for trade cooperation and promotion of cooperation in areas with strong development opportunities.

Mr. Wei Huaxiang added that the second floor of the Chinese Consulate General has long displayed Khanh Hoa bird's nests. At the same time, the Consulate General successfully promoted China's import of Khanh Hoa bird's nests with a total value of 10 million yuan.

Many high-end products of Khanh Hoa have been officially exported to China.

Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Company has established cooperative relationships with two famous enterprises, Dong Nhan Duong and Xiaoxiandun Beijing, and is negotiating cooperation with major supermarkets in China.
