On July 28, Dak Lak Provincial Police held a high-point launching ceremony to ensure order, traffic safety, public order and urban order, aiming to protect the activities celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2 and Party Congresses at all levels. This high-point campaign was deployed with the spirit of "no forbidden areas, no exceptions, no rest".
In the context of the merger of Phu Yen province into Dak Lak, the scale of the area and population increased, posing many challenges in ensuring security, order and traffic safety on roads, railways and inland waterways. In the first 6 months of 2025, the traffic safety situation in the area changed positively when the number of accidents decreased, but the number of deaths still increased slightly.
Major General Phan Thanh Tam, Director of Dak Lak Provincial Police, spoke at the launching ceremony.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Major General Phan Thanh Tam, Director of Dak Lak Provincial Police, requested the forces to proactively grasp the situation, identify criminals, and at the same time step up propaganda of traffic laws, strictly handle violations such as: speeding, alcohol and drug concentration, overloading, encroachment on roadsides and sidewalks.
According to Major General Phan Thanh Tam, the traffic police force needs to proactively plan prevention and ensure traffic safety on key routes such as National Highway 1A, National Highway 14 (Ho Chi Minh Road), National Highways 26, 29, etc., especially during peak tourist and festival seasons. Notably, he emphasized the strict handling of officers and soldiers who violate traffic laws according to the Prime Minister's direction.
Dak Lak Provincial Police mobilized to ensure order, traffic safety, public order and urban order.
In the first 6 months of the year, the provincial police handled more than 49,000 cases of traffic safety violations, detected and handed over 94 cases with 146 subjects to the authorities for investigation, and temporarily detained 132 vehicles. The authorities also increased patrols and controls to prevent street crimes and ensure security and order in the area.
