The People's Committee of Da Lat City ( Lam Dong Province) has just assigned the People's Committees of wards to urgently work and coordinate with management units to open parking lots at a number of schools and locations in the area.
Demand for parking in Da Lat is expected to increase during the Flower Festival.
Accordingly, it is expected that there will be 8 temporary parking lots with fees, including: 3 lots in the planning area of Pham Hong Thai, the yard of Da Lat Pedagogical College (Ward 10), the yard of Thang Long Specialized High School (Ward 3), the yard of the old Vocational College (Ward 4), and the roads in the planning area of Lam Dong Provincial Sports and Cultural Center (Ward 6 and Ward 7).
The People's Committees of wards coordinate with the managing units to manage and temporarily operate paid parking lots in the city center during the festival, opening and closing of the 2024 Flower Festival.
In December 2024 - the period of the Flower Festival, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee will ban cars with more than 29 seats from circulating on Tran Quoc Toan Street, the road around Xuan Huong Lake for 9 minutes, except for the section from the Yersin - Tran Quoc Toan intersection to the Tran Nhan Tong - Tran Quoc Toan intersection.
The ban is from 5am to 11pm every day until after December 31. At the same time, electric cars used for transportation (taxis, contract cars with less than 9 seats) are allowed to park, pick up and drop off passengers at public parking lots (free parking lots) on Tran Quoc Toan Street.
The 10th Da Lat Flower Festival 2024 is expected to open on the night of December 5 at Lam Vien Square with many unique and elaborately staged art programs. The main stage is inspired by wild sunflowers with many famous artists performing.
The opening night also featured a light show from 500 drone lights. Lam Dong Province is expected to attract about 2 million visitors during the month of the Da Lat Flower Festival.
