Mr. Tan Van Vuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, assessed that the Middle East is one of the potential international markets that Da Nang City has actively promoted in recent times. Since June, the world's leading airline Emirates Airlines has opened the Dubai - Bangkok - Da Nang route with a frequency of 4 flights/week. "The opening of the route takes place in the context of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) signed between Vietnam and the United Arab Emirates, which is considered a strategic step, enhancing the position of Central Vietnam tourism on the international map. At the same time, attracting high-class guests from the Middle East and Europe, in line with the development orientation and diversification of Da Nang's tourism market, in line with the increasingly high-quality product and service ecosystem that the city is aiming for and the business community has invested in recent times", Mr. Tan Van Vuong emphasized.
Faced with the increasing demand for Halal tourism, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City has increased the demand for specialized tourism services, promoting the attraction and development of Halal-related industries such as food industry, cosmetics, education and training, certification consulting services, Islamic banking and financial services, etc.

Ms. Truong Thi Hong Hanh, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City, said that in order to prepare for the new wave of tourists from the market considered to be the luxury and super-rich group from the Middle East, the unit has coordinated with relevant parties to organize training programs for employees of tourism business establishments on service culture, basic manners when greeting, communicating and serving Muslim guests.
Hotels, restaurants, and tourist attractions are provided with documents and expert support to guide research on applying Muslim-friendly tourism service standards to fully prepare reception areas, prayer spaces, bedrooms, etc. to meet the requirements of Muslims.
