Investing 379 billion VND to build a factory producing fuel pellets for export

The acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Hoang Nam, has just signed a decision approving the investment policy and the investor of the Wood Pellet Fuel Plant project of Planted Forest Biomass Quang Tri Joint Stock Company.

The project is implemented at Hai Chanh Industrial Park, Hai Chanh Commune, Hai Lang District with an expected land area of 33,100 ^m2 , designed capacity of 192,000 tons/year. The products and services provided by the project are wood pellets for the export market.

The project scale includes wood pellet production area, warehouse, executive office, canteen, operator house, covered wood material storage yard, level 4 house, mechanical workshop, pump house, staff and employee accommodation, power station, internal traffic roads and turning area, concrete yard, trees...

The total investment capital of the project is 379 billion VND, of which the investor's contributed capital is 75.8 billion VND, mobilized capital is 303.2 billion VND. The project is expected to start construction of the project items from October 2025 to August 2026; completed and put into operation in September 2026.

The People's Committee of Quang Tri province assigned the Department of Finance to monitor and urge investors to implement the project according to the approved schedule and contents; coordinate with relevant agencies to advise the Provincial People's Committee to remove difficulties and obstacles for investors during the project implementation process. At the same time, request investors to implement the project according to the approved contents, comply with current legal regulations, and complete environmental procedures as prescribed.
