On September 19, the Permanent Mission of Lebanon to the United Nations (UN) sent to the UN Security Council a report on the preliminary investigation into the explosions of communication vehicles over the past two days, which caused thousands of casualties.

AFP news agency reported that in a letter to the Security Council, the Lebanese delegation said that according to preliminary investigations, the explosive devices were professionally pre-filled with explosives before entering Lebanon and were detonated by sending emails to those devices.
The delegation condemned the bloody attacks and said they undermined diplomatic efforts to end the fighting in Gaza and southern Lebanon.
The Lebanese representative called on the UN Security Council to condemn the attack at an emergency session scheduled for September 20 to discuss the latest developments. Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib is expected to attend the meeting.
Previously, on September 17-18, a series of explosions involving pagers and walkie-talkies occurred across Lebanon, killing at least 37 people and injuring nearly 3,000.
Lebanon's Hezbollah movement blamed Israel for the incidents. Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah said the incident was "a declaration of war" by Israel and that the Islamic movement would respond strongly.
However, despite the warnings and accusations, Israel remained silent about the explosions, and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said the country would continue its "series of military and security operations" in Lebanon.
According to Xinhua news agency, in a video message from the Kirya military base in Tel Aviv, Mr. Gallant stressed that this new phase of the conflict "has great opportunities but also many potential risks", and affirmed that "Hezbollah is feeling pressured and being pursued".
On September 19, Israel deployed a series of fighter jets to carry out fierce airstrikes against Hezbollah bases in Lebanon.
Israeli military officials said that within two hours of the sortie, fighter jets destroyed about 100 multiple rocket launchers and several other targets in southern Lebanon believed to be deployed to attack Israel.
Meanwhile, NNA news agency reported that at 9 p.m. the same day, Israel conducted 52 airstrikes across southern Lebanon. Sources from Lebanese security officials confirmed that this was the largest Israeli airstrike since the conflict broke out in October 2023. There are currently no reported casualties or damage.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued a statement stating: "The IDF will continue to operate to weaken Hezbollah's infrastructure and capabilities to defend the State of Israel."
