The Vietnamese team brought the championship cup back to the homeland, offering incense to pay tribute to the Hung Kings.

On the morning of January 7, Head of the delegation Tran Anh Tu, Coach Kim Sang-sik and Captain Duy Manh represented the Vietnamese team, along with representatives of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho province, to bring the AFF Cup championship back to the homeland, to the Thuong Temple to offer incense to report their achievements and pay tribute to King Hung, after the team won the championship in the regional arena.

At Dien Kinh Thien on Nghia Linh mountain, the delegates, along with coach Kim Sang-sik and player Duy Manh, respectfully offered incense to commemorate the Hung Kings who founded the country; presented the championship title and reported on the achievements that the team had achieved at the AFF Cup 2024. On the journey to the championship, the Vietnamese team set a series of new records, with the highlight being the absolute victory over Thailand in both the first and second leg finals.

Coach Kim Sang-sik and leaders of departments and agencies present the championship trophy and report their achievements to the Hung Kings.

Coach Kim Sang-sik and his team also won the championship with an unbeaten record (7 wins and 1 draw) at the AFF Cup 2024. Including 4 absolute victories at home in Viet Tri, the highlight was the brilliant performance of striker Nguyen Xuan Son.

Before the spirits of the Hung Kings, the delegates, coach Kim Sang-sik and player Duy Manh vowed to unite, practice hard, and continue to play their best for the country in the coming time with the goal of passing the final qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup to participate in the most prestigious tournament in Asia for the third consecutive time.

Immediately after the ceremony of reporting achievements at Thuong Temple, the delegates offered incense and the championship trophy at Hung Kings' Tomb. Before that, Coach Kim Sang-sik recorded his achievements in the golden book kept at Hung Kings Temple Historical Site, expressing his determination to continue to devote himself to bringing new successes to Vietnamese football.
