According to TASS, Deputy Director of Gazprom Energy Group (Russia) Vitaly Markelov announced that Gazprom plans to put into operation two more lines at the Amur Gas Processing Plant in the Far East in early 2024.

By 2025, the company will operate all 6 lines and reach design capacity.

Russian President Vladimir Putin inaugurated the Amur Gas Processing Plant in the Far East in 2019. The plant was built to help supply natural gas to the Chinese market via the Power of Siberia pipeline. Once completed, the plant will be able to process 42 billion cubic meters of gas per year.

The Amur gas processing plant also contributes to increasing Russia's share in the global helium market.
