On the morning of July 30, the domestic retail pork market continued to maintain stable prices at major distribution chains such as WinMart and Ha Hien Food. Prices remained unchanged from previous days, with pork belly and lean pork still being the two items with the highest prices.
According to a survey this morning at the WinMart system, the prices of Meat Deli brand chilled meat products are still maintaining a flat trend. The prices remain the same as the previous days, fluctuating between 119,922 - 163,122 VND/kg. In particular, the products are being applied a 20% discount program for members, helping consumers save significantly in the context of rising living costs.
Of which, pork belly continues to lead with the highest price of 163,122 VND/kg, followed by lean meat with 157,520 VND/kg. The prices of lean shoulder, ham, thigh and ground meat have all remained stable over the past week.
Similar to WinMart, Ha Hien Fresh Food Company also did not adjust pork prices today. Products are listed at around VND89,000 - 190,000/kg, depending on the type.
Of these, spare ribs are still the most expensive item, sold at VND190,000/kg, followed by pig tails (VND176,000/kg) and pork belly (VND166,000/kg). These are popular products due to their delicious meat quality and suitability for many family dishes.
According to records at retail outlets in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, pork purchasing power remains at an average level. Consumers tend to choose products with promotions, pre-packaged products, or lower-priced meats such as ground meat, ham hocks, and lean thighs.
In the context of the current price of live pigs fluctuating around 58,000 - 64,000 VND/kg depending on the region, experts say that retail meat prices may continue to be stable in the short term if there is no sudden change in supply or widespread disease.
However, if the price of live pigs continues to increase in August due to weather factors and improved consumer demand, retail meat prices may be adjusted up slightly by VND 1,000 - 3,000/kg by the end of the third quarter of 2025.
