(VTC News) - Google recently opened an office in Ho Chi Minh City, responsible for business and marketing, mainly supporting domestic business customers.
Recently, Google sent an email to its customers in Vietnam, announcing that from April 1, 2025, Google Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. will transfer to Google Vietnam Company (Google's Agent) the benefits and contractual obligations related to payment records in Vietnam. In the announcement from Google, Google Vietnam Company will be the unit signing the contract and invoicing for the service. The company will also charge 10% Value Added Tax on services provided to customers in Vietnam. Therefore, from April 2025, customers will see a separate item on the invoice recording this tax.

At the same time, from March 1, 2025, partners who become customers of any products listed in the Vietnam section, Google Vietnam Company Limited will be the official responsible partner, instead of Google Singapore as before. Google also requires its customer partners to provide tax codes, names and addresses to Google in Vietnam, matching the information registered with the tax authority, to receive valid invoices and no changes will be made once the invoices have been issued. Google Vietnam Company Limited was established on May 31, 2023, with the international name Google Vietnam Company Limited, managed by the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department and last updated its tax code on December 3. The company's business lines are advertising (main business), along with general wholesale, management consulting, market research and public opinion polling.
