The Hanoi Department of Education and Training may adjust the 10th grade exam schedule for the 2025-2026 school year if the high school graduation exam takes place earlier than expected.
The Hanoi Department of Education and Training has announced the time to organize the 10th grade entrance exam for public high schools in the 2025-2026 school year on June 7 and 8.
Candidates will take three exams: Math, Literature and Foreign Language. On June 9, candidates will take the specialized subject exam to apply to four specialized high schools.
Meanwhile, according to the Ministry of Education and Training, the 2025 High School Graduation Exam is scheduled to take place at the end of June. However, recently, some localities have proposed to move the exam schedule up by 3 weeks. This proposed schedule coincides with or is very close to the 10th grade entrance exam schedule in localities, including Hanoi.
Recently, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training has sent a document requesting the Ministry of Education and Training to adjust the exam schedule. The document stated: "Based on the schedule of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training advises the City People's Committee to adjust the exam and admission plan for grade 10 high school in the 2025-2026 school year to ensure suitability and effectiveness."
Like other localities, the schedule for organizing the 10th grade entrance exam in Hanoi is based on the expected high school graduation exam schedule of the Ministry of Education and Training. This is to calculate the appropriate time to organize the exam in the locality, while ensuring thorough and comprehensive preparation of facilities and human resources.
