Hanoi continues to ban roads and regulate traffic around Hoan Kiem Lake until October 13.

The Hanoi People's Committee has agreed with the proposal of the Hoan Kiem District People's Committee to close the streets around Hoan Kiem Lake to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day until October 13.

On the afternoon of October 10, the Office of the City People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 12434/VP-DT dated October 10, 2024, announcing the direction of the Chairman of the City People's Committee on the road closure around Hoan Kiem Lake area to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).

Accordingly, the Chairman of the City People's Committee agreed with the proposal of the Hoan Kiem District People's Committee to allow road closures and traffic diversions to organize pedestrian spaces around Hoan Kiem Lake and its vicinity from 6:00 p.m. on October 10, 2024 (Thursday) to the end of October 13, 2024 (Sunday).

The Chairman of the City People's Committee also assigned the Department of Transport, the City Police, and the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem District to arrange forces, have plans to divert traffic from afar, and announce on the media so that agencies, organizations, and individuals are aware to limit traffic congestion; strengthen inspection and handling of violations of traffic safety and order, urban order in the area around the Hoan Kiem Lake walking space and vicinity to ensure security, order, and traffic safety.
