Two rare wild animals strayed into a resident's garden in Kon Tum

TPO – Tu Mo Rong District Forest Protection Department ( Kon Tum ) has just received two endangered and rare monkeys from a local household.

On the morning of October 17, Tu Mo Rong District Forest Protection Department announced that it had just received a pig-tailed macaque and a red-faced macaque belonging to group IIB, on the list of endangered and rare forest plants and animals from a household in the area.

People write a petition to voluntarily hand over wild animals to the state.

Previously, Ms. Y Duong (residing in Kach Nho village, Dak Sao commune, Tu Mo Rong district) discovered two monkeys of unknown origin straying into the garden and destroying her family's belongings.

When she learned that these two monkeys were rare wild animals, she quickly reported them to the Tu Mo Rong District Forest Protection Department to hand them over.

During the working process, the District Forest Protection Department discovered two monkeys, including a pig-tailed macaque weighing 4.5 kg and a red-faced macaque weighing 6.5 kg.

During the meeting, Ms. Y Duong voluntarily submitted a request to hand over wild animals to the state.

After receiving it, Tu Mo Rong District Forest Protection Department transferred it to the Center for Biodiversity Conservation and Ecotourism , Chu Mom Ray National Park Management Board to organize rescue, care and release it back to the natural environment according to regulations.
