The 2nd Conference of the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of Lao Cai Provincial Party Agencies

Attending the conference were comrade Duong Duc Huy, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; leaders of the Provincial Labor Federation, Party Committees of Provincial Party Agencies; comrades of the Executive Committee, members of the Inspection Committee of the Trade Unions of Provincial Party Agencies and representatives of grassroots trade unions.

The conference reviewed union activities in the first 6 months of the year.

Accordingly, the Provincial Party Agencies Trade Union was established on March 1, 2025. Immediately after its establishment, the Provincial Party Agencies Trade Union directed grassroots trade unions to advise Party committees and coordinate with heads of agencies and units to properly implement policies and regimes for trade union organizations and care for and protect the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Duong Duc Huy, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, emphasized: Implementing the Central's policy on restructuring and streamlining the apparatus, from July 1, many cadres, union members and workers of Lao Cai province will move to work at the new administrative center. Therefore, the trade union organization in the province needs to do a good job of propaganda and encouragement for cadres, union members and workers to make efforts to overcome difficulties, be determined to overcome difficulties, complete tasks well, and build the new Lao Cai province to be more and more prosperous.

At the conference, the following decisions were announced: awarding the "Medal for the cause of building the Vietnam Trade Union" to 11 individuals; establishing 2 grassroots trade unions (the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee Guest House Trade Union and the Lao Cai Provincial Women's Support Fund Trade Union); dissolving and ending the activities of the executive committees and inspection committees of 18 grassroots trade unions; transferring 4 grassroots trade unions directly under the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation.

The Provincial Party Agencies Trade Union will dissolve and cease operations from July 1, 2025.
