As planned, today, August 17, the Central Party delegation led by General Secretary and President To Lam will have many important activities in Ho Chi Minh City. On the morning of August 17, General Secretary and President To Lam and the Central delegation will offer incense and flowers to President Ho Chi Minh at the Uncle Ho Monument Park. This is the first activity in a series of events during the first visit and work in Ho Chi Minh City by General Secretary and President To Lam as General Secretary. After the incense offering ceremony to President Ho Chi Minh, General Secretary and President To Lam attended the program to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the People's Public Security implementing President Ho Chi Minh's will (1969 - 2024); awarding the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces to the Ho Chi Minh City Public Security. On the same afternoon, General Secretary and President To Lam worked with the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee to assess the implementation of the resolutions of the 13th National Party Congress and the 11th National Party Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee since the beginning of the 2020-2025 term; the dissemination and implementation of Directive 35 of the Politburo on Party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress. Previously, on July 1, in his capacity as President, General Secretary and President To Lam visited Ho Chi Minh City and attended the launching ceremony of the force participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level.
