More than 100 collectives and individuals in the field of vocational education were commended and rewarded on the occasion of November 20.

On the afternoon of November 19, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs also held a ceremony to commend and reward collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the field of vocational education in 2024.

Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council awarded Certificates of Merit from the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to collectives with outstanding achievements in directing and implementing Directive No. 37-CT/TW of the Central Party Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership in training highly skilled human resources.

Presenting flowers and congratulating representatives of schools and vocational training institutions, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Hoang Nghia Hieu also acknowledged the contributions of the units in the field of vocational education.

After 10 years of implementing Directive No. 37 of the Secretariat, the recruitment and training of highly skilled human resources in Nghe An province has met and exceeded the assigned targets every year; the quality and effectiveness of training have been significantly improved, especially in high-quality schools, key occupations at the national, ASEAN and international levels. The rate of trained workers in the province increased from 48% at the end of 2013 to 69% at the end of 2023; of which, those with diplomas and certificates increased from 19.3% to 28.6%.

At the ceremony, 16 collectives and 86 individuals, including vocational education units, authors and groups of authors who won prizes at the 2024 National Vocational Education Teachers' Teaching Competition; Self-made Training Equipment Competition; and 2024 Vocational Education Student Startup Idea Competition in Nghe An Province, were awarded by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.
