In Son La province, there is a section of road with landslides on the positive and negative slopes, from Km95 to Km113 of National Highway 4G in Huoi Mot and Sop Cop communes, traffic has been blocked since 12:00 on July 27 until now, and is expected to reopen on July 30, 2025. At the same time, construction units have cleared the section from Km99+300 to Km100+500, but traffic is currently blocked from Km100+500 to Km106.

According to statistics, the entire National Highway 7 from Con Cuong commune to Muong Xen commune has 26 negative slope landslides.

At the same time, in Nghe An province, 184 locations recorded landslides on negative and positive slopes; of which, 129 locations were on National Highway 7 and National Highway 16; 55 locations were on 3 provincial roads 543, 543D, 543C. 6 suspension bridges collapsed and were swept away in 3 communes of Muong Quang, Tuong Duong, Luong Minh...

Currently, there is still scattered rain on national highways, expressways and local roads. The Ministry of Construction is directing the Vietnam Road Administration to continue updating, reviewing and making statistics.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has signed an official dispatch on focusing on overcoming the consequences of flash floods and landslides in Son La province and proactively responding to natural disasters in the coming time.

Accordingly, the Minister of Construction, according to his assigned functions, tasks and authority, focuses on directing and supporting people to quickly overcome the consequences of flash floods and landslides mentioned above, and at the same time proactively deploying measures to respond to rain, floods, flash floods and landslides that may continue to occur in the coming time.

At the same time, the Minister of Construction, according to his assigned functions and tasks, shall proactively direct and urge the implementation of natural disaster prevention and control work in the field of management, promptly restore infrastructure works damaged by natural disasters, especially works ensuring traffic, electricity, water, telecommunications, health and education.
