(GLO)- On May 25 and 26, the Kbang District Elderly Association (Gia Lai Province) coordinated with the District Culture, Information and Sports Center to organize the 2023 Elderly Sports Festival.
The Sports Festival had 206 athletes from 13/14 Elderly Associations of communes and towns in the district; competing in 5 sports. Of which: 6 teams in volleyball; 42 athletes in 11 teams in crossbow shooting; 30 athletes in 10 teams in chess; 10 athletes in 2 teams in badminton and 74 athletes in 5 teams in aerobics.

The sports festival is an opportunity for the Elderly Association at all levels in the district to evaluate the quality of the grassroots sports movement; continue to promote the implementation of the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho"; encourage and motivate the elderly to participate in physical exercise, improve health, prevent and fight diseases; help members live happily, healthily and live long. At the same time, practically make achievements to celebrate the 82nd anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnamese Elderly (June 6, 1941 - June 6, 2023) and the 75th anniversary of Uncle Ho's call for patriotic emulation (June 11, 1948 - June 11, 2023).
