On the evening of July 29, at Do Son tourist area, Hai Phong Literature and Arts Association held the opening ceremony of the fine arts exhibition "Beautiful Homeland" to welcome the Workshop of the Literature and Arts Development Cooperation Group (VN8+) with the theme "Literature and Arts with the country entering a new era" hosted by Hai Phong.
Attending the opening ceremony were Dr. Nguyen Dang Chuong, Director of the Vietnam Center for Culture and Arts; leaders of the Hai Phong Literature and Arts Association; representatives of the fine arts community and many artists from VN8+ member provinces and cities.

The exhibition “Beautiful Homeland” introduces more than 40 multi-material paintings such as oil, acrylic, watercolor, gouache, silk… created by artists from Hai Phong and Hai Duong (formerly) at the Chi Linh - Do Son Fine Arts Creation Camp, taking place from July 12 to 15. The works focus on depicting the natural beauty and people of Chi Linh and Do Son - two places rich in cultural materials and unique landscapes.

Notably, this creative activity and exhibition is the first result of the cooperation program between the Hai Phong Literature and Arts Association and the Hai Duong Literature and Arts Association (formerly) in the context of the two localities having merged. Although still waiting for the official decision from the city on the organization of the new apparatus, the artists of both sides have proactively implemented artistic cooperation activities.

The exhibition is one of the opening events for the series of artistic and academic activities of the VN8+ Conference in Hai Phong - an annual forum gathering Literature and Arts Associations from many provinces and cities across the country to exchange and cooperate in developing literary and artistic activities in the new context.
