In 2005, the United Nations chose the third Sunday of November every year as the “ World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims.”

In 2024, “World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims” falls on November 17.

With the theme "Respecting the law to build a culture of safe traffic," on the evening of November 17, the National Traffic Safety Committee coordinated with the People's Committee of Ninh Binh province to organize a memorial service for victims of traffic accidents in Vietnam in 2024 at Bai Dinh pagoda.

The memorial ceremony has a profound humanistic meaning, expressing sympathy for those who unfortunately died in traffic accidents; raising awareness and consciousness of people in complying with traffic safety laws, preventing traffic accidents; warning people about the consequences of traffic accidents, the causes and risks of accidents, contributing to reducing traffic accidents...
