Northern region has prolonged cold and rain, Hanoi 15 degrees Celsius

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that on February 25, the weather in the North improved compared to the previous day. The lowest temperature in the region increased slightly, reaching 16-19 degrees Celsius in the plains and 13-16 degrees Celsius in the mountains.

The coldest time today is at 6am, many places can record temperatures below 11 degrees Celsius with light rain.

In the following hours, the rain showed signs of decreasing, appearing only in a few places. However, the low temperature kept the cold conditions going.

The meteorological agency warned that from the night of February 26, the cold air will strengthen, causing the North to record a decrease in temperature and light rain again. The main weather next week will be light rain and drizzle, typical of spring weather.

At sea, the northeastern sea area of the northern East Sea has strong winds of level 6, gusting to level 7-8; waves 2-4m high, rough seas.

The sea area from Ninh Thuan to Ca Mau and the sea area west of the southern East Sea (including the sea area west of Truong Sa archipelago) has northeast wind level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7. Waves are 2-3m high, rough sea.

All vessels and other activities in the above sea areas are at high risk of being affected by strong winds and large waves.

Weather forecast for the night of February 24 and February 25 in regions across the country:

- Hanoi: Light rain at night and morning, then rain in some places. Cold weather. Lowest temperature 12-14 degrees Celsius, highest 16-18 degrees Celsius.

- Northwest: Rain in some places, especially in the Northwest, the afternoon will be less cloudy and sunny. Lowest temperature 15-18 degrees Celsius, some places below 14 degrees Celsius; highest 18-21 degrees Celsius, especially in the Northwest, 25-28 degrees Celsius.

- Northeast: Light rain at night and morning, then rain in some places. Northeast wind level 2-3, cold weather. Lowest temperature 12-15 degrees Celsius, high mountainous areas have places below 6 degrees Celsius; highest 15-18 degrees Celsius.

- From Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien Hue: Scattered rain in the north, rain in some places in the south. North to northwest wind level 2-3. Lowest temperature 16-19 degrees Celsius, in the south some places 20-22 degrees Celsius; highest in the north 19-22 degrees Celsius, in the south 25-28 degrees Celsius.

- From Da Nang to Binh Thuan: Rain in some places at night, sunny during the day. Lowest temperature 21-24 degrees Celsius; highest 29-32 degrees Celsius.

- Central Highlands: No rain at night, sunny during the day. Lowest temperature 17-20 degrees Celsius, highest 31-34 degrees Celsius.

- Southern region: Sunny days, with some hot spots in the Southeast. Lowest temperature 23-26 degrees Celsius; highest 31-34 degrees Celsius, Eastern region 34-36 degrees Celsius.
