According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the North is being affected by the southern edge of the low pressure trough with an axis at about 23 - 26 degrees north latitude combined with a high-altitude divergence field, which has been gradually weakening since July 31. The South is being affected by the southwest monsoon with medium to strong intensity, which has been gradually weakening since July 31.

Due to the influence of the above patterns, the weather in regions across the country in the coming days will have many strong fluctuations.

The Northern Delta region, including Hai Phong , will have hot weather on July 30 and 31, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening; the mountainous and midland regions will have scattered rain at night and scattered rain during the day; from August 1, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms.

From Thanh Hoa to Da Nang , the eastern provinces from Quang Ngai to Khanh Hoa, in the evening and at night there will be local thunderstorms, hot during the day, with some places having extremely hot weather.

Specifically about the heat wave: On July 30, in the Northern region, Thanh Hoa to Da Nang, the eastern provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa, the highest temperature is commonly 35 - 38 degrees Celsius, some places over 38 degrees Celsius; the lowest relative humidity is commonly 55 - 60%.

On July 31, severe heat continued in the Northern Delta and the above areas with the highest temperature of 35 - 37 degrees Celsius, some places above 37 degrees Celsius; the lowest relative humidity was 55 - 60%. Other places in the North had localized heat with the highest temperature in some places above 35 degrees Celsius.

From August 1, the heat wave will end in the Northern region; the Central region is likely to last for many days to come.
