Tuition exemption, reduction, financial support for students affected by storms

The Ministry of Education and Training has sent a document to universities and pedagogical colleges regarding support measures for students affected by storm No. 3.

According to the document, in recent times, many localities across the country, especially the northern provinces, have suffered heavy losses in property and lives caused by storm No. 3, including students and their families. The Ministry of Education and Training highly values the spirit of mutual love and support, the proactiveness in mobilizing resources, joining hands with the whole country to support compatriots, and support localities to overcome the consequences of storms and floods of higher education institutions and teacher training colleges.

To continue supporting students affected by storms and floods to stabilize their studies soon, the Ministry of Education and Training recommends that higher education institutions and teacher training colleges pay attention to and prioritize the allocation of resources to exempt and reduce tuition fees and provide financial support policies appropriate to each student's circumstances. At the same time, the Ministry of Education and Training also recommends that units and schools guide students to contact local authorities to request confirmation of cases where families have sudden financial difficulties to apply for credit loans and support for their studies.
