On the evening of July 9, news from Long Ho District Police ( Vinh Long ) said that the unit was taking statements from the suspect who robbed a gold shop at noon the same day.

According to initial information, at around 2:00 p.m. the same day, a man walked into the HC gold shop (Phuoc Yen A hamlet, Phu Quoi commune, Long Ho district) and met Ms. LTTL (62 years old, gold shop owner) to buy gold and asked Ms. L. to show him a 24K gold ring weighing 5 taels.
After taking the ring, the man put it on his finger and ran away towards Highway 1. Ms. L. shouted " robbery, robbery" so that people around could help stop the robbery suspect.
At that moment, Mr. NXĐ (33 years old, from Bac Ninh , temporarily residing in Phu Quoi commune, Long Ho district) was sitting drinking coffee nearby. Hearing the shout of robbery, Mr. Đ. quickly chased after the suspect, knocked him down, and then handed him over to the police for handling.
Immediately after receiving the victim's report, local police arrived at the scene to make a record of the incident, examine the scene and receive the robbery suspect at the gold shop for investigation and handling.
At the police station, the suspect gave his name as Tran Cong Dung (44 years old, residing in Phu Huu Dong hamlet, Phu Thinh commune, Tam Binh district, Vinh Long).
The robbery at the gold shop mentioned above is being investigated and handled by the Long Ho District Police Department.
