Russian experts have developed a "doomsday" first-person view (FPV) drone to monitor background radiation and ensure the safety of military personnel in the event of a nuclear war, said Dmitry Kuzyakin, CEO of Russia's Center for the Development of Integrated Unmanned Solutions (CUS).

Mr. Kuzyakin shared that he believes that reason will prevail and the world will avoid using nuclear weapons and that Russia's "doomsday" flying device will never have to be used.

"However, we believe that it would be a crime not to prepare for even the worst scenarios. Our specialists have developed a 'doomsday' flying device to monitor background radiation and ensure the safety of military personnel as part of the Khrust project."

It is a small drone that can be stowed away together with the control unit, Mr. Kuzyakin explained.

The flight time of the "doomsday" device is up to 20 minutes in active maneuvering mode. The operating range depends on the terrain and signal transmission conditions, ranging from 500 m to 2 km".

Regarding nuclear war, Russian President Putin has repeatedly reminded that "Western countries must realize that we also have weapons that can attack targets on their territory. Current developments could lead to a nuclear conflict and the destruction of civilization. Don't they understand this?"

Russia currently has the world's largest nuclear arsenal, with nearly 6,000 warheads. Russia and the United States hold about 90 percent of the world's nuclear warheads, enough to destroy the planet many times over.
