Following the success of his tour in Vietnam in 2024, French pianist and conductor David Greilsammer will return to Vietnam with a special program called “Fairies, Dreams and Dances” - a piano solo program built as a magical and enchanting musical journey.

The artist will perform in Hanoi with the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra on July 5, in Hue on July 7, in Da Nang on July 8, in Da Lat on July 10 and in Ho Chi Minh City on July 11.

The program opened with a suite by Robert Schumann, a collection of romantic, magical and emotional dances symbolizing the composer’s intense love for his fiancée. The work marked the beginning of a journey that deeply explored the connection between dance, dreams and the magical world , while highlighting the virtuosity and beauty of the German Romantic style.

Next is Claude Debussy’s “The Fairies Are Wonderful Dancers,” where each note invites the audience into a dreamy, ethereal, and otherworldly world. The piece is delicate and gentle, reminiscent of the graceful movements of fairies.

The performance also includes other works by famous composers such as George Gershwin, Maurice Ravel, Henry Purcell...

According to information from the French Institute in Vietnam, David Greilsammer is an artist who is always looking for new musical emotions, creating a symmetrical circle of sound, where each work dialogues with the next, forming a complete musical journey, both profound and open. Each piece of music, each movement is a dance, a dream, a rhythmic interweaving, bringing an irresistible experience, taking listeners into a magical musical world./.

David Greilsammer is known as one of the most pioneering and courageous conductors and pianists in contemporary music. He has performed in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, with innovative projects, groundbreaking interpretations and revolutionary artistic encounters across genres and artistic disciplines.

In 2022, David Greilsammer was also appointed Principal Conductor and Music Director of the Philharmonie Medellín in Colombia – one of the leading orchestras in Latin America. That same year, he was awarded a Grammy Award and the Classical: NEXT Innovation Award for innovative projects in the field of classical music.
