On August 15, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Journalists Association and the Academy of Journalism and Communication organized the launch of the book "Heavy Duty, Deep Love" and a thematic exhibition and discussion "Journalist, Teacher Tran Ba Lan: From the lecture hall to life", with the participation of the author; leaders and former leaders of press agencies, the Vietnam Journalists Association through the periods; generations of journalists and his students.
Journalist and teacher Tran Ba Lan was born in 1930 in an intellectual family in Thuong Tin ( Hanoi ). He has been teaching for more than 40 years, including 15 years as Head of the Faculty of Journalism in the first period after the country's reunification (1976-1990). He is the author of many teaching textbooks and many published books with in-depth value on journalism, translation, cultural research, history, etc.
He was also one of the founders, making important contributions to building a team of journalism instructors and press officers at all levels, creating the brand and reputation for one of the leading journalism human resource training centers in the country, the University of Propaganda (now the Academy of Journalism and Propaganda).
The book "Heavy Duty, Deep Love" is over 200 pages thick, published by Literature Publishing House, and can be considered a concise summary of the life and career of journalist and teacher Tran Ba Lan.
The book consists of 3 sections. Section 1: Building a journalism curriculum. Section 2: Journalistic works used sporadically over the past 60 years. Section 3: Chinese translations, exploring the origins of the Tran Binh lineage from the founder - 17th century. Section 2 talks about the trips, the process of journalism work, and the creation of works published in newspapers, vividly depicting the career of journalist and teacher Tran Ba Lan in more than 60 years of writing and the years he participated in teaching.
At the book launch, generations of journalists, colleagues, and students of journalist and teacher Tran Ba Lan highlighted his contributions and dedication to journalism, journalism training, and cultural and historical research.
