Many changes in free visits to Hue Heritage from January 1, 2025

(Fatherland) - The People's Council of Thua Thien Hue province has issued a Resolution amending and supplementing a number of provisions on collection levels, collection, payment, management and use of fees for visiting Hue historical and cultural relics belonging to the Complex of Hue Monuments.


Accordingly, from January 1, 2025, at the following relic sites: King Thieu Tri's Tomb; Hue Royal Antiquities Museum; Hon Chen Palace; An Dinh Palace; Nam Giao Altar and King Duc Duc's Tomb, the entrance fee will be 50,000 VND/person/time, free for children (from 7 to 12 years old).

In addition, free admission to relic sites in the Hue Monuments Complex for Vietnamese citizens on the following occasions: Lunar New Year, free on the first day of Tet; Liberation Day of Thua Thien Hue Province (March 26); August Revolution Day (August 19); National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2); Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23).

It is known that currently, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center is selling entrance tickets at 11 relic sites, including: Hue Imperial City, Hue Royal Antiquities Museum, An Dinh Palace, Nam Giao Altar, Hon Chen Palace and the tombs of King Gia Long, Minh Mang, Thieu Tri, Tu Duc, Dong Khanh, Khai Dinh.

Thus, compared to before, there will be a change in starting to sell entrance tickets to King Duc Duc's tomb after this project is restored. In addition, 2 days of free tickets on the occasion of Lunar New Year (2nd and 3rd day of Tet) will be reduced and 2 days of free tickets will be added on holidays during the year (August Revolution Day and Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day).

According to the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, adjusting the free admission days throughout the year appropriately will ensure that all Vietnamese citizens enjoy the free admission policy at different times, while also contributing to honoring other national holidays.
