Petrolimex pioneers transparency in greenhouse gas emissions

Vietnam National Petroleum Group - Petrolimex was awarded a Certificate of Verification by the British Standards Institute (BSI) confirming its greenhouse gas inventory report according to ISO 14064-1:2018 standard.

Speaking at the ceremony to award the Certificate of Confirmation of Greenhouse Gas Inventory Report according to ISO 14064-1:2018 standard, General Director of BSI Vietnam Le Duyen Anh congratulated Vietnam National Petroleum Group - Petrolimex for completing the inspection process and receiving the Certificate of Confirmation of ISO 14064-1:2018 standard for the greenhouse gas inventory report across the Group.

BSI representative said that Petrolimex is the first large-scale state-owned corporation to achieve this standard, demonstrating the pioneering and determination of the enterprise in the green transition journey.

Petrolimex General Director Dao Nam Hai thanked BSI for its high appreciation and ISO 14064-1:2018 audit of Petrolimex's greenhouse gas inventory report. The Group's leaders shared that collecting data, preparing reports and quantifying greenhouse gas emissions is very important. The data helps Petrolimex accurately assess its greenhouse gas emissions, thereby building effective emission reduction strategies and implementing sustainable development commitments in a transparent manner.

Petrolimex General Director Dao Nam Hai affirmed: Achieving ISO 14064-1:2018 certification on greenhouse gas inventory is a testament to Petrolimex's serious investment in green transition strategy and ESG practices. From there, it creates an important foundation for Petrolimex to move towards the goal of carbon neutrality and Net Zero.
