According to the project, the planning area covers an area of over 12,600 hectares, including the communes of Duy Thanh, Duy Vinh, Duy Nghia, Duy Hai (Duy Xuyen district) and Binh Giang, Binh Duong , Binh Trieu, Binh Dao, Binh Minh (Thang Binh district). The population size by 2030 will reach about 200,000 people, by 2045 about 350,000 people.

The spatial development structure of the area is oriented to develop according to the model of "Two parallel axes and one ecological green belt". The two main spatial axes are the urban - service - tourism space axis along the coast and Vo Chi Cong street and the urban - industrial - ecological corridor axis along the western route of the Truong Giang River. At the conference, delegates gave many comments, focusing on assessing the current status of electricity use in urban areas and forecasting in the coming time; providing stable electricity for production, trade and service development. Many delegates suggested maintaining green areas along the coast; prioritizing investment in Binh Minh bus station; having a plan to treat wastewater discharged into the marine environment to ensure environmental hygiene...

The leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thang Binh district acknowledged and accepted the opinions at the conference and will coordinate with the drafting unit to adjust and supplement to complete the project.
