Phu Tho has two OCOP products certified with 5-star national certification.

On January 16, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development held a conference to evaluate and classify OCOP products at the central level in 2024 in Hanoi. The conference reviewed 52 products from localities across the country, with a transparent and impartial evaluation process.

The members of the Council have evaluated and commented objectively and fairly on each product of the production facility in terms of the level of completion of the documents and products. At the same time, they gave opinions on the products, made suggestions to improve the quality and development orientation of OCOP products. After discussion, exchange and voting, the Central OCOP Product Evaluation and Classification Council in 2024 decided to recognize 28 products that have achieved national OCOP certification.

As a result, 28 products were recognized as achieving national OCOP certification. Of which, Phu Tho province was honored to have two products achieving 5 stars: “Hung Lo Rice Noodles” of Hung Lo Rice Noodles Cooperative (Viet Tri City) and “Thanh Ba Purple Bud Tea” of UT Tea Investment and Development Company Limited (Thanh Ba District).

Achieving 5-star OCOP certification not only affirms the brand but also creates conditions for products to expand in domestic and international markets, contributing to preserving and promoting the traditional values of the homeland. This is the motivation for production facilities to continue to innovate, improve quality and promote OCOP products in the future.
