According to Dr. Le Duc Nhan, at the Global Stroke Alliance (GSA) Conference recently held in Hanoi , Vietnam has 5 regions honored as “Angels Region” for stroke treatment. Including Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Can Tho and An Giang.

This is the first time that localities in Vietnam have been awarded the title of “Angels Region”, marking an important step forward in building a model of emergency and stroke treatment that is synchronous and effective according to international standards. In particular, Da Nang being honored reflects the synchronization and professionalism of the entire city’s health system, from grassroots to specialized health care, from out-of-hospital emergency care to in-hospital treatment.

On this occasion, Da Nang Hospital - the unit playing a central role in the city's stroke treatment system - maintained its Diamond Status certification. This is the highest level in the Angels assessment system, with outstanding indicators: short treatment access time (door-to-needle time), high rate of thrombolytic and cerebral vascular intervention, and the ability to successfully handle complex stroke cases.
In addition to its professional duties, Da Nang Hospital (grade 1 general hospital, the final line in the Central Highlands region) also trains, guides, and connects with other hospitals inside and outside the city such as Hoa Vang Hospital, Lien Chieu Hospital, Thanh Khe Hospital, Cam Le Hospital, Ngu Hanh Son Hospital, Gia Dinh Hospital, Vinmec Da Nang Hospital, Hospital 199, Emergency Center 115, Quang Nam Northern Mountainous Region General Hospital, Quang Nam Regional General Hospital, Quang Ngai Provincial General Hospital.
