Sofyan Amrabat praised coach Erik ten Hag
MU is negotiating with Fiorentina to bring Sofyan Amrabat (priced at around 30 million Euros) to Old Trafford. The Moroccan midfielder himself is said to really want that to happen, because he wants to work with coach Erik ten Hag again.
Amrabat was a former student of coach Erik ten Hag when he was in charge of Utrecht (Netherlands). And the midfielder recently spoke about his admiration for his teacher:
“Coach Erik ten Hag had a plan for me (at Utrecht). He asked about my strengths and what I wanted to improve. From the first day, he was busy with me. Not just me, but with others too.
Normally, most managers are busy with their teams, but coach Erik ten Hag spends a lot of time on individual player issues. Because he knows that if the individual improves, the team will improve as well.
After every game he showed me a video and explained everything to me.
I was only 18 or 19 at the time, so sometimes I thought: again? But now, looking back, I know it was very important for my career. He taught me a lot."

Man City recruit Josko Gvardiol
Man City agreed to pay the entire cash upfront to the German representative to get the Josko Gvardiol deal approved. Therefore, the transfer fee is lower than the 86 million pounds that RB Leipzig requested.
Josko Gvardiol also has some pressure on his value, because Harry Maguire still holds the position of the most expensive defender in the world.
Coach Pep Guardiola sees Gvardiol as a defensive depth option that can serve The Citizens for the next decade.
Man City hope that all procedures for the Gvardiol deal will be completed before the Community Shield match against Arsenal this weekend (August 6).
To avoid the risk of injury that could affect the transfer, Gvardiol sat out both of the German team's recent friendlies.
RB Leipzig earned a large sum of money, but they also had to pay Gvardiol's former club Dinamo Zagreb £15.6 million (equivalent to 20% of the transfer value).
Gvardiol is considered by experts to be one of the best central defenders at the 2022 World Cup, making a great contribution to helping Croatia win 3rd place overall.
