Passed 26 Resolutions at the 28th session, the 10th Provincial People's Council

On the morning of December 6, the People's Council of Quang Nam province, term X, 2021 - 2026, closed its 28th session. The session passed all 26 Resolutions, including 24 Resolutions on socio-economic development (SED) in 2025.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Duc Dung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Quang Nam Provincial People's Council said that at this 28th meeting, the Provincial People's Council reviewed a large volume of reports, proposals, and projects submitted by agencies.

The meeting acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the Provincial People's Committee, all levels, sectors and localities in implementing the Resolution of the Provincial People's Council on the socio-economic development plan for 2024, but also frankly pointed out a number of shortcomings and limitations, especially issues related to the failure to achieve the GRDP target, outstanding and urgent issues related to the fields of investment, finance, land, environment, etc.

“Based on the enthusiastic and responsible comments and criticisms of the Provincial People's Council committees and delegates, the session passed all 26 Resolutions, including 24 Resolutions on socio-economic development in 2025, on the development investment plan and capital allocation, on mechanisms, policies, on annual resolution groups and other contents. These are very important resolutions, directly related to people's lives and the development of the province. At the same time, the Provincial People's Council carried out the dismissal and election of additional members of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term in accordance with regulations,” said Mr. Dung.

At this session, the Provincial People's Council spent adequate time to question the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and heads of specialized agencies such as the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Department of Finance, Department of Construction;... The question and answer session took place in a democratic and constructive atmosphere, clearly demonstrating the sense of responsibility of the Provincial People's Council delegates and leaders of the departments and branches being questioned.

In addition, Mr. Dung suggested that after the session, the provincial People's Council delegates should organize well the activities of meeting voters, informing voters and people of the results of the session; regularly maintain close contact, listen to voters' opinions and aspirations; promptly reflect and make recommendations to the Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies.

Mr. Dung also requested the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the Committees of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and relevant agencies and organizations within their scope, tasks, powers and responsibilities to focus on implementing measures to ensure the implementation of issued resolutions.
