According to the Traffic Police Department, recently, trucks, tractor-trailers, containers, etc. have stalled while going uphill on Phu My Bridge, especially from Nguyen Van Linh Street to Cat Lai Port and Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway, causing many long traffic jams. The main reason is that the bridge has a steep slope, many vehicles move slowly, and some vehicles run out of fuel or have technical problems when reaching the top of the bridge.

Phu My Bridge is a vital route connecting key seaport areas and neighboring provinces, with a large volume of traffic, especially during rush hour. Vehicles stalling in the middle of the bridge not only obstructs traffic but also poses a potential risk of accidents.
To ensure smooth travel, the Traffic Police Department recommends that transport units and businesses proactively inform drivers and request them to carefully check the condition of their vehicles before crossing the bridge, especially the fuel system and engine, to prevent incidents that affect general traffic.
