According to SGGP reporters, many trees on some roads had broken branches and fell. On Le Thi Hong Gam Street (Ben Thanh Ward), due to strong winds, many items such as umbrellas and foam boxes of many vendors flew along the road. Many people traveling on the road by motorbike also had to find shelter because of heavy rain making it difficult to travel.

On Nguyen Thai Son Street (Hanh Thong Ward), at around 11:45 a.m., heavy rain caused trees to fall onto the street, affecting traffic.

In addition, heavy rain also caused trees to fall on Nguyen Van Linh and Tran Quang Dieu streets. Afterwards, the Ho Chi Minh City Green Parks Company, the police force, and traffic police also arrived at the scene to handle the situation and ensure traffic safety for people traveling.

Speaking to SGGP Newspaper, Mr. Le Dinh Quyet, Head of the Forecast Department of the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, said that storm No. 3 in the East Sea indirectly attracted stronger southwest winds, causing wind convergence zones. This is also the main reason for widespread thunderstorms in Ho Chi Minh City. Many areas in Ho Chi Minh City this afternoon recorded winds of 13m/s, gusts of 23m/s (equivalent to level 9). Although the amount of rain in Ho Chi Minh City is not large, the wind caused many trees to fall. Rain is forecast in the evening and strong thunderstorms will continue to occur in the coming days.
