Nearly 1.4 billion VND left behind at Da Nang International Terminal returned to passengers

DNO - On the afternoon of June 28, a representative of Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company (AHT) rewarded Ms. Tran Thi Huong, an employee of Hoan My Company Limited (a cleaning service provider at Terminal T2) for returning nearly 1.4 billion VND to a passenger who left something behind at Terminal T2 - Da Nang International Airport.

Specifically, at around 6 a.m. on June 26, while cleaning the departure gates 1, 2, and 3 of Da Nang International Terminal, Ms. Tran Thi Huong discovered a forgotten backpack.

Ms. Huong promptly reported to the T2 Terminal Operations Department and handed over the backpack to the International Security Screening Team in accordance with regulations. The International Security Screening Team coordinated with the Customs Immigration Baggage Procedure Team to inspect the unclaimed property and recorded many foreign currencies including: 81 100 USD bills, 4 10 USD bills, 3 1 USD bills and 735 10,000 Japanese Yen bills along with other personal assets.

The entire property inside the backpack is estimated to be worth nearly 1.4 billion VND. The ownerless property has been sealed and a record has been made of the handover to the Da Nang International Airport Customs Branch (Customs Branch) for temporary detention and handling according to the correct procedure.

At 9:00 p.m. on June 27, the Customs Branch handed over all assets to passenger T. (Japanese) in the presence of staff Tran Thi Huong, the International Security Screening Team and the T2 Terminal Operations Department. The passenger took flight VN318 back to Vietnam on the same day.

Da Nang International Terminal acknowledges and highly appreciates the sense of responsibility and professionalism of staff Tran Thi Huong, security forces, customs and Terminal T2 Operations Department for promptly detecting and returning the abandoned property completely and safely to passengers.
