Saigon International University reduces admission threshold score by 1-2 points

This morning (July 17), the Admissions Council of Saigon International University (SIU) announced the floor score (threshold to ensure input quality) for admission methods in 2025.

Master Cao Quang Tu, Director of Admissions at Saigon International University, said that the school has just announced the minimum admission scores for each method. This minimum score is 1-2 points lower depending on the major compared to 2024.

After knowing the admission floor scores of the schools, candidates can register their wishes on the general admission system of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Accordingly, in 2025, the school will use 4 methods for 29 training majors and specialties, including considering grade 12 transcripts; considering the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam; considering the results of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam and direct admission, priority for direct admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

The school uses more than 20 subject combinations for admission for both methods of considering transcripts and high school graduation exam scores.

With the method of considering academic records, candidates need to have training results from a good level or higher and the total score of 3 subjects in the admission group for the whole year of grade 12 must be from 18 points or higher. With the method of considering the results of the competency assessment exam, candidates need to achieve from 600 points.

With the method of using high school graduation exam results, the admission score is from 15-16 depending on the major, a decrease of 1-2 points compared to last year.

It is known that in 2024, many majors of SIU received an admission score of 17 such as multimedia communication, public relations, logistics and supply chain management, economic law, information technology, computer science, English language and business administration. The remaining majors received 16 points, no major received 15 points.

Master Tu noted that from July 16 to 5:00 p.m. on July 28, candidates can register and adjust their admission wishes (unlimited number of times) with all methods.
