After winning the U.23 Southeast Asian Championship for the third consecutive time, the Vietnam U.23 team received congratulations from Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

The Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and relevant agencies to promptly reward and encourage individuals and groups that contributed to this victory, and hoped that the players would continue to promote the successes they have achieved.

Most recently, earlier this year, the Prime Minister awarded the First Class Labor Medal to the National Men's Football Team; and awarded the Third Class Labor Medal to 6 individuals of the Team who performed exceptionally well at the AFF Cup 2024, including: Nguyen Xuan Son, Do Duy Manh, Nguyen Quang Hai, Nguyen Tien Linh, Nguyen Hoang Duc, and Nguyen Dinh Trieu.

At that time, the Prime Minister also decided and awarded the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to 29 individuals of the national men's football team who played exceptionally well, winning the AFF Cup 2024 championship.

Cong Phuong's valuable goal in the 37th minute helped U.23 Vietnam successfully defend the U.23 Southeast Asian championship.
