In 2024, the provincial procuracy will continue to seriously implement the resolutions of the Party and the National Assembly on judicial work. All professional work stages will be implemented according to plan. The key tasks have been focused on and effectively implemented by the leaders of the People's Procuracy at two levels since the first months of the year.
Last year, the political security situation in the province continued to be stable, and social order and safety were maintained. However, the crime situation increased compared to 2023. From December 1, 2023 to December 30, 2024, the number of newly prosecuted cases was 861 cases/1,255 defendants (an increase of 168 cases/310 defendants compared to 2023). Civil and family disputes decreased by 0.75%. Commercial disputes increased by 51.4%, administrative complaints decreased by 17%.
The People's Procuracy at two levels continued to effectively implement the right to prosecute and supervise judicial activities. Of which, the right to prosecute and supervise the settlement of 798 denunciations and reports of crimes; 692 denunciations and reports were processed. The right to prosecute and supervise the investigation of 1,102 cases/1,578 defendants (861 new cases/1,255 defendants). The investigation agency resolved 796 cases/1,194 defendants, reaching a rate of 72.2%...
Closely coordinate with the prosecution agencies to ensure the timely resolution of cases and incidents in accordance with the law. Through its work, the Procuracy has detected violations and shortcomings of relevant agencies to promptly issue protests, recommendations, and requests to correct violations and prevent violations and crimes.
In 2025, implementing the motto: "Solidarity, responsibility - discipline, integrity - courage, efficiency", the Quang Tri provincial Procuracy strives to carry out 3 key tasks and 2 breakthroughs; strives to exceed 44 targets in the work of practicing the right to prosecute and supervise investigation, supervise trial of criminal cases, improve the quality and effectiveness of supervision of judicial activities; and work of building the sector.
On this occasion, the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Procuracy awarded the emulation flag of the Procuracy sector to 2 collectives and the title of "Excellent Labor Collective" in 2024 to 3 collectives of the Procuracy sector of Quang Tri province.
