Specifically, Vietnam Airlines has suspended four pilots on a Boeing 787 and an Airbus 321 aircraft in the incident where two aircraft collided at Noi Bai airport on the afternoon of June 27. The four pilots will need to temporarily stop flying until the airline has a conclusion on the above incident.
The airline has set up an independent investigation team to find out and assess the cause of the incident, in parallel with the investigation team to determine the cause of the incident by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam. The airline also said it is coordinating with aviation authorities to clarify the incident.
Noi Bai International Airport stated that at 2:23 p.m. on June 27, at the airport, there was a collision between two Vietnam Airlines aircraft at the intersection of taxiways S3 and S.
At the above time, the A321 aircraft performing flight VN1804 from Hanoi to Dien Bien was waiting at the runway 11R/29L waiting point when the right wing of the B787 aircraft performing flight VN7205 from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City collided with the vertical tail of the A321 aircraft at the taxiway intersection area.

The two planes were damaged at the collision site, and some debris was collected at the scene.
According to Noi Bai International Airport, the weather at the time of the incident was favorable, with good visibility. All 386 passengers on the two flights were brought back to Terminal T1.
Immediately after the incident, Noi Bai International Airport coordinated with functional units to inspect the scene, towed the two aircraft to a safe parking position, and cleared and cleaned the taxiway areas S and S3.
