Recently, a clip of a concrete mixer truck driving in the wrong direction on the Hanoi - Bac Giang Expressway appeared on social networks. In the clip, the concrete mixer truck drove in the wrong direction at night, in the lane that allows cars to travel at a maximum speed of 100 km/h, causing other vehicles to slow down and flash their warning lights to avoid collisions.

Immediately after receiving the feedback, the Traffic Police Department, Bac Giang Provincial Police urgently investigated and handled the case.

According to information from the Bac Giang Traffic Police Department, the car going in the opposite direction with license plate 98C-284.XX is owned by a concrete mixing station business unit in Luc Nam district, Bac Giang province.

HVN driver (born in 1980, residing in Trang Cac commune, Van Quan district, Lang Son province) confessed that because it was dark and he did not pay attention to the signs, he drove the car in the wrong direction from the exit at Km 126 + 800 to Km 129 of the Hanoi - Bac Giang highway, then turned onto the Quang Chau Industrial Park service road, Viet Yen, Bac Giang.

The authorities proceeded to draw up an administrative violation report against driver N. for the violation of driving in the wrong direction on the highway as stipulated in Point a, Clause 8, Article 5 of Decree 100 of the Government regulating administrative penalties for violations in the field of road and railway traffic. For this violation, the driver was fined from 16 to 18 million VND and had his driving license revoked for 5 to 7 months.

Driving in the wrong direction on the highway is a very dangerous behavior, with a high risk of traffic accidents. The Bac Giang Traffic Police Department recommends that people participating in traffic on the highways pay attention, strictly comply with the traffic signs, and drive in the right direction to ensure safety for themselves and other traffic participants.
