On the morning of December 21, Tuy Phong District People's Committee organized the opening ceremony of the 2023 Beach Volleyball Tournament for armed forces units in the district, taking place for 3 days (December 21-23, 2023) at Dinh Binh An beach, Binh Thanh commune.
In his opening speech, Mr. Duong Hong Son - Vice Chairman of Tuy Phong District People's Committee - Head of the tournament organizing committee said: The men's volleyball tournament for armed forces units stationed in the district was organized to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the National Defense Day (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2023); This volleyball tournament also aims to create a healthy and useful playground, strengthen solidarity, cohesion and enhance mutual understanding between armed forces units stationed in the district; continue to maintain and effectively implement the campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho"...
The tournament attracted the participation of 12 men's volleyball teams from 12 armed forces units in the district. The 12 teams were divided into 4 groups: Binh Thanh Commune Military , District Military Agency and Vinh Tan 2 Thermal Power Plant (Group A); Chi Cong Commune Military , Lien Huong Port Border Guard Station and Phan Ri Cua Town Military (Group B); Radar Station 69, Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant and District Police (Group C); Phuoc The Commune Military , Hoa Minh Border Guard Station and Lien Huong Town Military (Group D).
After the opening ceremony, the teams including: District Military Agency - Vinh Tan 2 Thermal Power Plant; Chi Cong Commune Military - Phan Ri Cua Town Military; Radar Station 69 - Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant and Phuoc The Commune Military - Hoa Minh Border Guard Station entered the first matches. The athletes competed very enthusiastically, attracting enthusiastic cheers from the audience.
The final and closing ceremony will take place on the afternoon of December 23.
