On the afternoon of June 12, a representative of Hue City Police (Thua Thien - Hue ) said that the unit's force arrested Pham Thi No (born in 1973, residing in An Phu Tay, Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City) - a person wanted by the Hue City Police Investigation Agency for theft of property more than 21 years ago.
According to the case file, on May 31, 2000, Pham Thi No and two others entered Dong Ba market (Hue City) pretending to buy goods. After that, the group worked together to steal a handbag containing many valuables and were discovered and arrested by the police.

In October of the same year, Pham Thi No was sentenced to 6 years in prison by the Hue City People's Court for theft. However, No fled the area, changing residences to many different places, not complying with the court's sentence. In April 2002, the Hue City Police Department issued a wanted notice for Pham Thi No.
After more than 21 years on the run, on June 8, on Hai Thuong Lan Ong Street (District 5, Ho Chi Minh City), No was discovered, arrested and extradited to Hue City by the Criminal Police Department of Hue City Police to serve his sentence.
It is known that after leaving the locality, No lived in many places and took the name Pham Thi Nga to conceal her identity, avoid being wanted, and avoid detection by the police.
