The hot weather over the past few days has caused a sharp increase in people’s demand for cooling equipment. To meet the demand, electronics supermarkets in Ben Luc district have imported many new air conditioner models and launched attractive promotional programs.
According to the Green Electronics Supermarket, in the past 2 weeks, the number of customers who want to buy cooling products, especially air conditioners, has increased. With the number of air conditioners sold from 5 to 10 per day, the supermarket cannot install them immediately but must arrange a delivery schedule and arrange some technicians to perform periodic maintenance according to the previous warranty policy.
Having just bought a new air conditioner at the Green Electronics Supermarket, Mr. Nguyen Vi Toan, Thanh Phu Commune, said: “The old air conditioner I was using was broken. At this time, the electronics supermarkets in Dien Ban District have many promotional programs, including free installation, so I decided to buy it right away. However, due to the large number of customers at the supermarket, I had to wait 1 day to install the machine as scheduled.”
Not only are electronics supermarkets busy, but air conditioner installation and repair service providers are also working at full capacity. Mr. Nguyen Tan Phat, Thanh Phat Refrigeration, Thanh Duc Commune, said that for the past month, the demand for air conditioner repair has increased, so his workload has also increased significantly. He had to assign more people to help, working from early morning to late afternoon and still not finishing the work.
Mr. Phat shared: "The number of customers this year has doubled compared to last year, so the technical staff are working at full capacity but still cannot meet all orders. Many customers call for repairs but have to apologize for the delay."
During the hot season, there is a lot of work, so the income of electricians is also quite high. People working in this field said that the price for maintenance and installation of each new air conditioner is usually from 300,000 - 400,000 VND depending on the capacity of the machine, gas refilling is an additional 150,000 - 300,000 VND, and repair is from 200,000 - 500,000 VND depending on the error. On average, an electrician earns about 1.5 - 2 million VND/day, and the monthly income is around 40 million VND. But this income only lasts for 3 months of peak heat./.
