Whales appear in Nha Trang Bay

On the afternoon of July 22, Mr. Nguyen Duy Khuong (Sailing Club Divers) said that at noon of the same day, a large whale appeared, hunting in the waters of Nha Trang Bay, Khanh Hoa province.

Specifically, at around 12:30 p.m., Mr. Khuong, while preparing to dive in Nha Trang Bay, discovered a whale surfacing and diving into the water, appearing for about 10 minutes and then leaving.

Despite the distance, the whale was still clearly visible. Mr. Khuong determined that the whale was very large. Because it was a rare sight, he quickly used his cell phone to record this moment.

Representatives of Nha Trang Bay Management Board confirmed that whales appeared in the area located in Hon Rom, near Hon Mun, a strictly protected area in the bay. The appearance of whales is a positive sign, showing that the marine environment is recovering well.

Recently, Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, and Dak Lak provinces have also recorded the appearance of whales, especially from June 2025 to present, attracting the attention of many people. The frequent appearance of whales shows that this area has a clean, quiet marine environment and abundant food sources.
